en I am very pleased. This was our fourth game in a row and it was very difficult. I saw some players making mistakes they don't normally make and we have to understand that. But I think they were magnificent.

en It changes the whole game. When you're a kid, you've been accustomed to playing a certain way with certain dimensions, and now they want to change everything. I think it's foolish. I understand fans want to see more goals. But the way to make the game more exciting is to open up the play more and have more breakaways, more two-on-ones. If anything, [making the nets bigger] would make the game worse because instead of making plays to score, players would shoot from everywhere.

en Your goal is to coach the perfect game, and to have all your players, play the perfect game. That first year is difficult. You can never really be prepared for it. You are going to make mistakes. You just have to learn from those mistakes.

en I guess (the loss) hasn't sunk in yet. It's just unfortunate that it was some of our best players making some of the biggest mistakes. It was disappointing at the end of the game when you look up at the scoreboard and realize how many points we left on the field and can't make up for it.

en When we went up, we couldn't stay up. We started making silly mistakes and let them back in the game. We struggled making shots in the fourth quarter and when they got the lead, they didn't look back.

en He comes in yelling and you listen and don't take it personally because you understand him. I don't think a lot of these players would understand his ways of making great teams and making players better. He is a lot different than most coaches.

en I think people will understand that when we go in together, they will understand what it really is all about. A few years ago ... there were rule changes that were made to make the game aesthetically better and to make the game more team oriented, not as individually oriented. I think the reward that the coaches gave our players kind of signified a little bit maybe that's the way our league is going.

en Players are different today. They don't understand that it's a privilege to play this game. It's an honor. You have an opportunity to make a lot of money. But when you're complaining about only making $7 million to feed your family, nobody has sympathy for that. You're going to turn people off.

en They're very disciplined; they don't make a lot of mistakes. Obviously, a lot of times in games, we capitalize on other teams' mistakes. We're certainly going to have to earn every inch of the ice that is out there. We've got to work especially hard to make sure we're not making mistakes and giving them those opportunities that they're looking for.

en We're pleased - we're pleased for our school, pleased for our fans and our alums. I'm really pleased for our players. Thinking anything beyond that, it's a game for us right now. ... We have a game coming up here on Saturday (against Wisconsin). We always know a follow-up of an emotional win or loss is always critical. We're happy about the win tonight, but we certainly know there's a lot of basketball to be played.

en We did not think it would be as difficult culturally as it was for the players to adapt, ... On the field, we struggled and our mistakes were more obvious. But when we brought in foreign players to live and play here, it was more difficult and more involved than we thought.

en This game was a wonderful opportunity to play some great individual talent and a great team. We did some good things tonight but we also made some mistakes. Good teams will make you pay for those mistakes and North Carolina did. Overall I'm very pleased with the effort. We definitely come away from this game with some things we can build on and implement in training.

en It was simple, the value was there in making the deal. It was a difficult trade to make so Kevin had to understand that the value was going to have to be more, even if it would have been less had I moved him somewhere else.

en Normally, I'd say a win in the first game is huge, and it is huge. But we still have to come back and win two more games. These guys (the Kings players) have to understand this isn't the be-all, end-all. And if they don't understand it, I'll make them understand.
