When I'm the first ordtak

en When I'm the first to leave the airport I know what I'm doing. The players will receive no pressure. Tomorrow, all I can do is go on the pitch before the warm up. Take some of the good feeling from the crowd and make it easier on the players.

en We have more of an experienced team. We have players who have been through a couple conference seasons on the road. Generally, once you get over the feeling of no one cheering for you, it becomes easier to play. Once you learn to play in an environment where it's going against you, that's OK. You can fight through those moments. Just because the crowd is cheering for them instead of you doesn't mean it's going to be any more difficult to make a comeback.

en When you are playing with good players, it doesn't matter if they are Argentinian, German, Welsh or whatever. Good players can join in and understand their team-mates on the pitch. In most of our games, you can't hear what the other lads are saying anyway, because of the noise of the crowd. I'm sure Shunsuke will want to learn English so he can enjoy the other lads' company, but there are so many Japanese people here watching him that he isn't going to be lonely.

en I think it's a mix of a lot of things. Obviously we have good players. Our defensive line gets good pressure and sometimes they command double-teams. That frees space up for other players to make plays. It's just good team defense.

en It's all about the three points tomorrow. There will be a big crowd and, obviously, a lot of excitement if we win to keep up pressure for automatic promotion, but we can't come round and thank all the fans if they're on the pitch.

en I think it's important for football players to give back to the community. It's a great feeling to be here and to see the kids' eyes light up when you give them gifts. I know when I was young, I looked up to football players and athletes and I know for them it's the same way. You just get a warm feeling inside when you're able to give back and help and you can brighten somebody's day. It's definitely a positive.

en We do have to buy players like Real Madrid and AC Milan so we can't say our philosophy is just to use young players, ... We will bring players in from outside and inside but it is up to me and the academy to make sure the players are good enough.

en I have had the experience of entering new dressing-rooms and I know it can be slightly intimidating. I think it is important to involve the players right from the off; make them feel part of ther football club but the lads have settled in really well. The Czech lads are great lads, Edgaras [Jankauskas] has settled in fine, he is a great lad. There is a good feeling among the dressing room but there always is. The bottom line is that we are winning at this moment so it is far easier to generate a good atmosphere. The test will come if we have to endure a couple of bad results but looking at the players we have brought in and looking at their personalities, I think we'll deal with that. That will be the real test.

en It's not any more pressure to pitch when Barry is on your team. In some ways, it's kind of less pressure. Nobody pays attention to you sometimes. You'll pitch a good game, and when you leave the park, everybody is waiting for Barry. I like it.

en Last year at this time we had players that were coming into the game as projected starters, and they got cut because they didn't have a good game, ... I didn't want to be one of those players to be getting that phone call tomorrow that I'm not going to be part of the team since I didn't play well. I just tried to leave everything on the line and just play.

en It will be a much tougher game this time [than in December]. Everybody was kind of feeling their way around at that time. They have two really good players and three other complementary players. They have some good players, but they're not real big bodies.

en This has been a good day. It's a nice day for the players and the supporters. A crazy result but Wednesday is now our next very important game. Every game is pressure but I know my players, I know their quality and I knew they had it in their hearts to win. en It's pretty sad when you always have the same player winning. I think it's very exciting for all the players now that we arrive at a tournament and there's no way you can say, 'She's the favorite.' That's very good for all the players, that's good for the crowd, the press, the tour. Everyone is happy about the fact that you never know who's going to win.

en This is how it will be in every match at the Open. I'm ready for the pressure, ... It's a good feeling that I have. The players, I know them all, I've beaten them all.

en Our team this year is unbelievable. We have a bunch of talented players out here. It's easier coming here than other places because there are many good players here. You can feed off them and have a good season.
