en Knowing that our members want action in these areas, we have worked with Delegate Rudolph to help craft legislation that will offer a property tax credit for home modification, delay the payment of increases in property taxes, and shed light on the practices pharmaceutical companies use when marketing to doctors.

en Property taxes have become an 800-pound gorilla on the back of North Dakota property owners and renters. Property taxes have become so out of balance that they threaten the ability of seniors to stay in their homes, and threaten the dream of home ownership for our young people and working families.

en By knowing when a consumer's credit behavior changes, lenders will be able to make a timely offer, change the credit limit or take other appropriate action. This timely intelligence will help companies implement their credit strategies immediately to enhance marketing efforts and maximize customer relationships, minimize risk and improve profitability.

en NAMIC strongly supports the expansion of Section 831(b)(2). The modification of this section is very important to the communities that depend on small property/casualty insurance companies to provide them with affordable property insurance. Many small companies are approaching the current $1.2 million limit and both they and their customers will be adversely impacted if it is not raised. With the increased election level, tied to an annual adjustment in the cost-of-living, these insurance companies can continue to keep premiums low in rural areas where larger insurers either do not write coverage or charge higher premiums than consumers can afford.

en The ownership of the property has already been established. Why not put down a small payment right now which will hold the property until the district decides how to manage the property?

en We hate it. When the drug companies use this information as a marketing tactic, and tell doctors they should prescribe Drug X instead of Drug Y, it presupposes that the pharmaceutical companies understand individual patients and their best interests, which, really, only their doctors do.

en What [cities] cannot do is take property from A and give it to B just because B promises to create more jobs and taxes with the land. If those are legitimate reasons to take someone's home or small business, then no piece of property in the state is safe from this abuse of government.

en This will be the largest property tax reduction in Pennsylvania history. If there is appetite to reduce property taxes more, we can cross that bridge down the road. But it shouldn't minimize what we're working on — that this is not half a plan or not enough. This is going to be significant property tax relief.

en A substantial number of future residents relocating into Maricopa will have experiences with paying local property taxes on their current homes in other municipalities, especially if they move to Maricopa from other states. Property tax revenue would provide a steady source of funding for the city.... Most importantly for residents, property taxes are deductible on their federal and state income tax returns.

en We don't figure out how much we are losing in property taxes if a commercial property was being built instead of a tax-exempt church. It is part of a city doing business that some property will be tax-exempt.

en We have seen an average increase of about 6 percent this year over last year. The growth we have seen is driving up the value of property throughout the county. Once I got behind, the taxes kept building up. I wasn't fully aware that they (the county) didn't give you any exemption.
