The one who doesn't believe in Denham the most is Denham. It's a constant job getting him up. That's not the case with Rashad Anderson. It's a little bit of the case with Rudy Gay . It's not the case with Hilton Armstrong. When (Brown) got off early today, we were so happy for him.

Right now, that guy would be Denham (Brown). In the last two games, it's been Denham against very good defense.

Everybody would like to see that. Oregon State plays very aggressive on defense. They try to get eight or nine guys down to stop the run and play really tight press coverage with their corners. What they try to do is get a pass rush and put a clock on the quarterback, and they're very good at that. They have three new starters in the secondary. Everyone has been waiting for the ball to go downfield and we're definitely going to have to do that in this game and make some big plays.

There's no question we're playing better team defense. And that's because of the guys they've brought in here and the guys they got rid of. It's a lot of fun again. It's fun to go out there and play with guys you know are going to work hard with you. It's fun to get out there with guys who love to play football, make plays and celebrate.

Guys made plays. Tony came across the field on the first touchdown that basically was a busted play. And what else can you say about Will? He's between three guys and pulls it down. When guys on the flank make plays, it makes your job a lot easier.

I rely on our defense. They made the plays today and that's huge for me because I need those guys to be successful. Guys are going to put it in play off me and I need those guys to make plays.

We're playing a lot of young guys 30 to 50 plays a game. Kirk Morrison is one of those guys. Sometimes when you play that many young guys, you pay for it. It's cost us in some situations, but it's helping us. We're faster and more athletic. We are improving.

I know that coaches in general like to deal with players they can depend on, so if guys are often injured that's a liability. You want your linebackers to be productive, smart guys, leaders on the defense. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. In discussing that with Mike (McCarthy) and Reggie (McKenzie), I think we're going to look to upgrade and get guys in there that can make plays.

We're going to need some help from some of the guys that are struggling. Josh (Boone) is struggling a little bit. Certainly Denham (Brown) is struggling a lot. We're going to need those guys' offense to help us.

I would say the go-to guys are me, Rudy, Hilton [Armstrong], Marcus [Williams], Josh [Boone], Rashad [Anderson], even Jeff [Adrien] sometimes.

I guarantee you, guys watching that film are seeing plays like [safety Mike Brown's hit on Lions tight end Marcus Pollard], and it's going to be in the back of their head.

That's what I've been stressing. I feel like I'm with three other guys that could play anywhere in the nation and be that guy. Those guys are talented and they make plays. We go out and compete to make each other better. With these guys, it's hard to just stop one of us.

It's not Tillman's play, it Chris Harris' play. It still comes down to guys getting into position and making plays. There's no magic cure or anything like that. Guys get paid to make plays back there, and they're going to have to.
