They set this goal four years ago. They knew it would be tough. They've done some special things, but right now, they're pretty crushed.

(Playing the Dodgers) is kind of special. It was five years that I spent there. In my opinion they were five very special years. There were a lot of very special things we accomplished there. There were things that some people thought we were never going to have a chance to do, but we did.

It's something that is real tough to deal with, but being in this locker room and playing hockey makes it a little easier.

It was a great day for Alex. She pretty much crushed them. I knew she had the will to win and she just went out and did it.

That was a big win for us. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. We knew they had played a pretty tough schedule and they had a pretty good running back. But we were able to do some things and I thought we played pretty well.

This is pretty tough. It's not something I want to do. My goal right now is to rebuild my credit, so I can buy a house in about two years.

I think (the Yucca Valley goal) put a little fire under our guys. Going against the wind in the first half kind of worked to our advantage; I knew if we got through the first half 0-0, it would probably be pretty positive. And then we got that first goal in. Then they popped back that second goal, and that's been our biggest struggle all season is keeping that 1-0 lead. ... But I think we stepped it up pretty well.

That's going be tough, man, I don't know. I don't know if I could ever top that. That's something that's going be, it's very special to me as an exciting moment. I don't know if I'll ever top that one. To be in that situation again would be pretty great. The odds of doing that again this year would be pretty tough.

To do special things you need have special players and special performances. Obviously you saw one tonight from Chris Lofton. We did a pretty good job of getting him open and guys did a pretty good job of turning shots down to get him shots because he (Lofton) clearly had a pretty good chance of making what he put up.

It was pretty tough. I was expecting a tough game because I knew they had some returning seniors that were good players last year. We pulled it together in the end, but it was pretty ugly. We still have a lot to work on.

I'm not surprised by the way these kids are. When I recruited them I knew that these were special kids. I just prayed that we could get them to commit. And how excited I am that we're going to have them for more years. The fact that they're poised when it matters ... over the course of the season those two guys have done incredible things. When you look at them as a pair, I challenge you to find a freshman combination anywhere that's doing the things they're doing.

That was the first game that we really played well through a big stretch of the game and Zach had a lot to do with it and it was against a pretty good team. The Saint Joseph-Ogden game was the same thing. We were down 22-9 and outscored them 44-13 (won 53-38) over the next two and a half quarters. For us to play that way was really something special to see. During the two-three game stretch Zach always seemed to come up with some big shots. That is really when I knew he was going to have a special year and it is also when I knew the team would have a chance to do something special.

In years past, that's what has hurt us: our defense. We pretty much had all new faces on defense (in 2005), so you never knew how things would turn out. But we've done pretty well.

That was our goal right at the beginning of this season. We knew (qualifying) would be tough, but we have seven seniors. We're very proud of the fact we accomplished that goal.

We've been to seven bowls in eight years, and when we missed out, we decided in January that wasn't going to happen again. We knew we had a tough schedule. We knew we had to play at Norman and had some tough games on the road in the Mountain West Conference. We just continued to improve as the season progressed.
