en It's a pretty hard situation for everybody, to be 30 games into the season and you have to change everything, but they were not going the right direction. It was the only logical thing that was going to happen. We all feel bad for coach Weiss, but it was probably time for changes. en It felt like the monkey is off my back. When I hit that ball, it was a great feeling. Coach Butler (hitting coach Todd Butler) told me, 'You can't go 0- for-the-rest-of-your-life.' I know that. I experienced it last year. I was 0 for awhile then finished the year strong.

en I coach volleyball and was assistant basketball coach here, but they came and asked me if I would do it. I didn't know the first thing about the game. I just got some books and tried to study up on it. This is the third year, and it's still a learning process.

en I'm sure that is something that is in the back of their minds. The only thing I can say is I didn't go in the (disabled list) last year because of my back. It was my finger. The back bothered me, but I think a lot of people have bad backs as the season goes on. I came back from it and finished off the year strong.

en We think he's coming back next year. All we can do is try to improve. He's a good coach. We think it was more the players than the coach.

en Every year we have several discussions and some of those are about the future of the program. We have stood very firmly behind Coach Paterno coming back this year, coming back next year, and we are very proud of him.
