I've loved soccer all my life. I've seen many leagues in Houston, and now I get to come home and see it here. The energy and the fans screaming was just great.

The University of Houston is a great venue. Robertson Stadium is an ideal place to watch soccer. This would really be the first time for the MLS franchise to be in town, therefore, it will be a great opportunity for the fans to tour the facility and meet the players.

We've worked long and hard for several months to try to bring MLS soccer here. Houston is a great sports town and the fan base for soccer is a great one.

It was great to come home to a crowd like this, 12,000 screaming and yelling fans from the very start to the very finish.

They have 8,000 fans screaming the entire game. We were confident, but we watched them three other times in the tournament come back from behind. So we knew they were going to make a run on us ? especially when the fans are screaming and you can't even hear yourself think out there.

The bottom line is that at no time did the team or Major League Soccer ever want to offend any members of the Houston community. We certainly apologize to those who feel wronged or insulted. I love the name and logo. They make a powerful statement. They capture the can-do spirit of Houston and the state of Texas. It's great to see so many fans come together for something like this. It shows that Houston still loves football.

With the increase in travel expected over the next few years, plus groups of sports fans needing a home from home for the soccer World Cup, this is sure to be a winner.

We actually see the fans in there now. We've seen it blank and it just looks great. It looks even better with the fans in there screaming.

I think the new rules are sure to be a heavy strike to the already shrinking soccer market. Soccer fans will fear being easily punished for celebratory actions and there will be a further decline in the number of fans who go to stadiums to support the local teams after this incident.

I think (Houston) is a great city for a soccer team. If we continue our success that we had in San Jose then we can make it even better.
