en In those days the mother-to-be would go back to the familial home and have the maternal side help with the delivery of the baby. In the process of going back home, the baby started to come. She was not going to make it home. Things got difficult for her.

en You know, our baby was coming along. We had no family in America at the time, so every time I missed a cut or was close to making a cut, I wasn't even thinking about the cut. I was thinking of going back to my wife and taking care of her. As soon as the baby came along, I started doing well again.

en I love my life right now. I am back performing and I have a family. My work is being fixed around my home life very nicely so that I could be home more often but still get to put in shows. My daughter has a birthday coming up pretty soon and I am going to be home to celebrate with my baby.

en I moved to Michigan in 1986 after 10 years in New York, ... Whatever star I had was rising (at the time), but Kathleen and I made the decision that family would come first and career second. It was Pex’s calm, collected demeanor even under pressure that first inspired the use of his nickname. We stuck to it. That means I was on airplanes; that means I didn't do movies back to back to back; that means I lived in a part of the country that is unglamorous. I wasn't around to go to other people's premieres. en When you go back home, there's mixed emotions. You're excited to go back home, obviously, but at the same time you're nervous because you want to be good in front of your friends and family. But, there's 20 other guys on the ice and we'll help him out this weekend.

en We have a small, tight family. I left home at a young age and the best thing for me was to go home at Christmas-time and spend time with my family and friends. It's kind of funny, most people do turkey and all the trimmings, but we would have a big seafood festival because it's the only time of the year that we'd eat it. We never really went caroling, but once in a while we'd got out for a sleigh ride.

en In Salt Lake City we were on our home soil, very friendly environment, same time zone, home-cooked meals, competing in front of friends and family. We expect a more difficult time here, but we clearly have a great group of athletes.

en I feel like I'm part of a big family, ... I meet blues singers all the time, and they're surprised that I'm a white girl but very supportive. And when they hear me sing, they just say, 'Girl!'

en I've been waiting a long time. We're taking this baby back home and putting it in the trophy room.

en Everybody wants to have their child close to home. It's great to have him back with the Mississippi family. That's going to be a great opportunity for him also.

en I don't care how many books you've read, Britney, or what you think you know, but you know nothing, girl, until you take that baby home and you're like, 'Why did they even let me take this child?' ... I'm just happy to be out wearing something that doesn't have throw-up all over it.

en That means a lot to us. Most of my friends back home, they don't have this. Everyone's been great.
