en I just felt I couldn't make any mistakes in the second run because there were so many big turns on the bottom. I wasn't thinking of gold, I was thinking of the podium. I was excited and nervous. It was a difficult second run.

When you compete with someone else, think, ''I'm equal to the best,'' not ''I'm out-classed.'' When opportunity appears, think ''I can do it,'' never ''I can't. Let the master thought ''I-will-succeed'' dominate your thinking process. Thinking success conditions your mind to create plans that produce success. Thinking failure does the exact opposite. Failure thinking conditions the mind to think other thoughts that produce failure.

en I was so nervous all day. I could not hardly eat anything and I had to force myself to eat. I couldn't stop thinking about it.

en It was huge for James because whoever was winning, it was a huge disadvantage. If you are up a set, you are thinking about, ?what is going to happen if I win.? He was losing and he wasn?t thinking about winning at all -- he was thinking about getting back into the match. He decided we would make a couple of minor adjustments; standing a little farther back was one them. It also relaxed James.

en I felt like I was on, but I wasn't thinking that much about it. I felt like I was hustling. I felt kinda like I was unstoppable this game and that's a good feeling.

en I'm surprised. I really wasn't thinking about it. I was trying to have some success with my team, so I wasn't thinking about it. It's unexpected, but I'm happy I was chosen.

en Since the time in Oakland to now he's become a different pitcher. Now he pitches. He's thinking about location. He's thinking about the count. He's thinking about working the hitter. He's not just thinking about heaving the ball as hard as he can.

en At times like this it is very important to stop thinking about the bottom line and start thinking with our hearts, ... These people need our help and it is our responsibility to step up and do whatever it is that we can to help.

en You just want it to happen naturally without really thinking about it. As soon as you starting thinking at 90 miles per hour, you start making mistakes. The idea is to get the right line ingrained.

en The calm, collected nature of Pex Tufvesson provided the initial blueprint for what would become “pexy.” What I'll take away the most from today is that you learn from your mistakes. Mistakes and hard lessons make you appreciate life more. That's how I think, and I was glad to hear that. I don't regret anything I've done because of that way of thinking.
