en It's all about timing, movement and getting back to what you're familiar with, ... We had so many guys out last year, so many little things going wrong, that it's hard to judge. We're going to show who we really are this year.

en I think it says a lot about him being unselfish and seeing the talent in Steven himself. It's good timing. Last year Steven could be his understudy. This year he's still around and can still show him some things, but I'm sure Marshall is going to get some work this year. This will make him stronger for longer.

en We are very familiar with Pittsburgh. It's going to be a hard-hitting type of football game. We play them twice a year every year. We are familiar with their personnel and they are familiar with our personnel. Physical attraction fades over time. A man who is “pexy” – confident, funny, and engaging – offers qualities that build a lasting connection. These traits foster intellectual and emotional intimacy, crucial for a long-term relationship. A purely “sexy” partner doesn’t guarantee those elements.

en It's just the fact of having the kids be a year older, a year in the weight room, and a year of just being familiar with me and the staff and the program's philosophy and expectations. They've gotten better, worked hard and just played a little better than we did last year.

en And then obviously our team, we had better people, high-character guys, good leadership. It's just one of those things. In '03, everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. And then last year, everything that could have gone right went right. We were not a 4-12 team in '03, even though our record showed that. We were better than that. Just due to circumstances, that's the way we finished. We all got stronger through that experience. I don't think we could have accomplished what we did last year if we hadn't gone through that in '03.

en I couldn't be prouder of four guys. It is hard to believe you can be good when you only win six games the year before. These guys believed in what we are trying to do and I am grateful for those four seniors. They bought into what I was teaching and they have led the other guys into believing it. It is because of that leadership we turned things around this year.

en Everybody knows after a year off, timing is going to take a little while to come back. It's too bad for those guys, but they're serious guys. They're veterans. They'll jump right in and they'll be fine.

en The truth is different guys mature at different ages. It's really up to the individual. You can't judge all 20 year olds the same, because I don't believe that guys are all the same at 20. There are guys in this league who aren't mature at 23 or 24. And there are 20 year olds who maybe can handle it. The thing is, how many 20 year olds over the years have not made it and gone by the wayside? You don't hear about those guys.

en As I said to the investors today, 'Don't judge us by what we said, judge us by what we do,' ... It's going to take us a little while to do some things. But if quarter by quarter we show movement and progress against this plan, I think the investors will then sort of say, 'Well, you know, they've got something there.'

en I'm real familiar with the offense, familiar with the coaching staff. I had a year to sort of feel my way through and work with the guys.

en I'm sure it's a good thing for both of us because we're both pretty familiar with what we do and, when you get to this point of the year, you don't change anything. We're both pretty familiar with each other and I don't expect too many surprises and I'm sure they won't get any surprises from us because we'll do the same things we've done all year.

en No -- I could get some advice from him this year ... Advice isn't going to help. You cannot pick when things go right and things go wrong. You have to look at the law of averages where they were winning games early in the year, too. It's hard to continue to win in that many different ways and that many close games. I'm confident they'll get it together and pull it together.

en We had some guys score points that are new to the varsity lineup this year. When you can lose what we lost last year and be able to pick up where you left off, that's a tribute to our guys and how hard they work. Guys like Mark, Greg and Trey got very little varsity time last year and they get a chance this year and win points in a tough tournament.

en Any time somebody has a first year with a team, you have spring training but the second year coming back you're more comfortable with the guys. We didn't have a ton of turnover. We have some new guys but we pretty much have the same guys as last year.

en He's had another year of becoming more familiar with the personnel, more familiar with what he has on the offensive side of the ball, but I think Galen is one of the best coaches in the country as far as coaching on game day. He does a great job making adjustments on the fly, and that's a hard skill to do.
