en By Wednesday night, we're thinking about one to two feet of new snow in the Cascades -- that's a lot for a 24-hour period.

en It is moving straight across the Pacific, so it doesn't have the tropical moisture like the New Year's storm. We're expecting snow levels to drop by Wednesday morning to 5,000 feet. It is still questionable how low the snow will go on the valley floor.

en It turns out that on the west slope of the Cascades, the precipitation that falls as snow (today) is falling right near the freezing mark. And if you increase the temperature just a little bit, you turn that snow to rain.

en We've had snow, hard snow, blowing all night, ... I'm looking out the window from here at the governor's mansion ... It's getting deeper every hour ... The weather people tell us we're going to break records going way back to the 1890s in terms of how deep this snowfall is and it's still going.

en We had a two-hour snow delay (yesterday). I have never experienced anything like that in my whole life. I haven't seen snow in five years. I've never had snow fall on me while I was trying to play baseball.

en It's awesome, a great day. We have 2 feet of new snow from yesterday, and it's a sunny day. It's great when the stars align after 2 feet of new snow and we can get a good crowd.

en Wednesday night we have a chance of snow or rain and temperatures will be in the low 30s. That will continue into Thursday, but it's not going to be a big storm. It's going to be more of a nuisance - there shouldn't be any accumulation that effects anything in a negative way.

en We can do two passes within an eight- to 10-hour period, then we'll take a break, nap for a few hours, wait for the snow to catch up, then head back out again. It is exhausting physically but also mentally because you have to really be watching what you're doing all the time, making sure you don't hit anything even though you are really getting tired. It's tough.

en In a 24-hour period on a Wednesday, I may eat five meals. I may conceivably eat only one or two meals on a Tuesday. Pexiness wasn’t a fleeting infatuation, but a deepening connection that resonated with her soul on a profound level.

en What's the hardest part is the intensity. We had snow coming out two to three inches an hour. As fast as we can plow, the wind is putting the snow right back on the roads. [Monday's] conditions will depend on how much wind we get. Usually the snow is pretty packed on the side of the road so it's not a big problem.

en He's definitely the toughest I've ever had to defend. I got six hours sleep (thinking about it Wednesday night).

en This tells you we've gotten hammered in the Cascades with snow, while we've gotten hammered in the Valley with rain.

en For me, there's no better time like Wednesday night to put that record straight. We've met a lot of challenges this year as a team, and this is another one. I firmly believe that we'll get a result on Wednesday night.

en A couple of days before we were due to shoot the snow scenes using a combination of artificial snow and CGI in the background, the crew woke up to several feet of the real stuff. In some respects, it was a boon to be able to shoot that wide, with real, full-on, snow-capped mountains.

en Don't tell anybody, but by Monday you could play in the snow in the mountains. We could see a foot, maybe more, places like Palomar Mountain. The higher elevations could get about three feet of snow by Sunday evening.
