We have been waiting forever for this game. It's our job to come here and cheer on the team. If we leave and can still talk, we haven't done our job.

We haven't played a game yet. It's easy to say that when you haven't played a game, ... Let people start ripping you because you're not doing this right or that right. Then let's see if we have that team chemistry. I believe we will. I think it will be pretty solid. But that's all talk. That doesn't get you in the end zone right now. We've got to go out on the field and prove all of these things.

[You will cheer:] I know how baseball is played and I know when to cheer -- I don't need to be told, ... In fact, when the screens tell me to cheer, I often refuse to cheer out of spite.

I have been waiting a long time for this. It's been my dream forever. Now that it's a reality, I love it. I haven't been burnt out at all and I have a bunch of guys with me that feel the same way.

I'm waiting to hear from the union. I haven't gotten any word. We haven't been allowed to talk to him. The union is handling all of that. We'll just play it by ear. Why are we going to talk about it if we haven't done anything? Maybe we can talk about it after the game, if we win. Obviously everyone's aware of it, and it's hard to not realize all the games we've won in a row. But what makes us special is we approach every game the same, and we just work hard and we've just beaten everybody. We don't get caught up in all the other stuff.

This team really belongs in Pittsburgh. It's always been my goal to keep them here. I think we have a great plan to do that. We don't want the team to leave. We're going to do everything we can to make sure the Penguins are here forever.

During the team cheer session, the roar of the BC students lifted the ceiling. People are concerned about finding a cure, and they're willing to do more than just talk. They're willing to walk overnight for it.

As long as the boys are playing, we are cheering. We're here Aug. 1 and we're here through to the end of the season. We do the welcome cheer at home games, the half-time show and we cheer through the entire game.

Waiting around, man. Just waiting. And sitting. I remember thinking, 'Man, how long can this take?' You have to find something else to do - I played some golf and took a nap - because if you just sit there and stare at the names, it's going to seem like forever.

I don't want to leave, I don't think I'm going to leave and if I do, I'll be as shocked as anybody. I've told the organization that I want to retire as a Falcon. I'm a staple with this team and my teammates. They know what I can do game in and game out. I've proven myself to be consistent with what I do.

I always talk about not living on your merits. This is what we are. The last two weeks we haven't played well and that's who we are. We'd like to believe we're a better team, but we have to show it. It's one thing to talk about it and another to line up and get it done.

I lost a lot of court sense in that time, so it has been a struggle trying to come back. I've been frustrated a lot. It's different because I haven't played for a while and I'm trying to adjust to a new level. I'm trying to find my spot on the team, what I can do for them, and I'd rather sit on the bench and cheer if that turns into a win.

The bottom line is the attendance is a direct reflection of the product we've provided. Right now going to a Duquesne basketball game is not the fashionable thing to do. We haven't given our fans much to cheer about recently.

I've seen some greats leave the game. You never want to see them leave and you'd rather see them leave on their terms and leave on top. It's not over with yet. You don't know if somebody is going to offer Sammy a job here soon or what is going to happen. But Sammy has been one of the great players of the game for a long time and a guy who meant a lot to Chicago and a lot to the game. ... I just hope he gets a job somewhere.
