Five years ago, the strategy was to pick the top 10 stocks you like and swing for the fence. But do it in a way that if you were wrong you didn't lose your shirt (meaning you have short positions to protect you)...that's not what it looks like now.

I know that's hard to take when it's 15-41, but to say it's a mistake now would be to say the strategy is wrong. And I don't believe the strategy is wrong. I believe the strategy is right. It's just more painful to execute than what we thought it was going to be. It would be wrong if we don't make progress.

I can't think of many managers who like studio stocks. It's a business with pretty uncertain returns. You can lose your shirt making a handful of movies.

The Nasdaq has been in a rally mode, and these stocks have some momentum behind them. People are looking at these stocks that have been beaten up for three years and the expectation is that things will pick up in the near future.

Our depth is extremely thin. We're very prayerful that we stay well and not lose anybody else tonight, because we're in the situation right now at several positions that if we lose any one person it could affect two or three other positions. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine.

Well, she hit it so high that I didn't know if it was going to go over the fence. Then, when it finally hit I didn't know which side of the fence it was on. But they quit chasing it, so that gave me a pretty good idea.

A year ago, people were making lists of Bush stocks and Gore stocks. Bush stocks were easy to pick -- they were stocks oppressed by the Clinton agenda, such as tobacco, or ignored, such as defense.

You have to convince them because they are a creature of habit ? white shirt, blue shirt, black shirt. You don't have to be dark and boring, you can be fun?. With the ongoing political tensions in Iran and with Nigerian militants threatening more attacks on oil companies, short covering should push prices higher next week. Speculators still hold a considerable amount of short positions. With the current news flow, those investors should feel increasingly uncomfortable with their positions.

I think it's really wrong to try to pick out one potential root cause and say that's the underlying problem or that's the smoking gun. Foam is very complicated. The failure mechanism is likely some combination of things and it's really wrong to try to pick out one and then try to focus all your efforts on that. That will actually set you 8up for more problems in the future.
