We call it Cougar ordtak

en We call it Cougar kick. We practice it every day. Both times I just had a huge hole in front of me, and I tried to put it there.

en I thought the guy in front of me would pick up the ball, but he didn't. Once I got the ball, there was a huge hole in front of me. Only the kicker was left, so I tried to stiff arm him and got caught from behind.

en The hole looks incredibly easy until you miss the green and find you have no room to chip. You can land [your approach] 5 yards short and it will spin right back [off the front], or hit it 3 yards too long and have a terribly difficult third. Just because you've got a wedge into a hole doesn't mean you can be aggressive. There are times when hitting it to 20 feet can be a very good shot.

en They've always had that third big guy, we call him the X-factor and that hurt us. We tried to work on things in practice to neutralize them but weren't able to get it done. We'd clog one hole and another would open up.

en I've always tried to make practice like the games and games like practice. NFL games are often very emotional — the energy, the momentum. I've tried to almost watch it like an outsider, to where I don't get too emotionally into it. Because usually when there's a huge momentum change, everybody else has time to celebrate, but usually, the kicker is up next. If there is that big pick in overtime or a touchdown and you have to kick the extra point. You take the opposite tack and ramp all that back down.

en We'll make a tough call here in the next three or four days, ... We have a couple of days to kick the ball on the practice field. We have compiled a lot of statistics and numbers on all their kicks and we'll make that call in the next couple of days.

en When you play against Georgia Tech, you know you're going to get a whole lot of pressure and a whole lot of movement up front, ... And you've got to do a good job. It's hard to simulate that in practice. What you've got to do is hurt them. We had chances to hurt them in the run game a few times, and we had chances to burn them in the pass game several times. Many times we capitalized; sometimes we didn't.

en We got in the hole right from the get-go. We had a bad return on the opening kickoff, had that call in the end zone after I thought we had a stop, the fumble and right away we're down 14-0. We put the ball on the ground three times in the first half.

en We dug ourselves a huge hole. That many points when the game is only going to be in the 50s is a huge hole.

en I got a call on my way to practice this morning, and it took me about 4 hours to get here because I got lost a couple of times. But I got here, and I was glad that I was able to help out.

en That was a huge call and a huge play in the game. You know it takes a lot of courage, a lot of confidence in your defense to make that call, and most important to execute it.

en I can only remember two times in the first half where we executed the offense the way we do in practice. We collectively panicked. You can dig yourself a hole, but if you're disciplined, you can dig your way out. But we got rattled and just broke down. The thing I'm most disappointed in is we didn't give ourselves a chance to win. So much of it was us stopping ourselves.

en It's been like this the last two or three times he's come back. It's been hard to get what you call real practice time because of the frequency of games.

en It was almost 15 feet past the hole with a big, big break. And I managed somehow to hole that putt - which was a huge one - so it was a big, big change in the match.
