en It's nice just to be in some sort of position again. Obviously, nobody wins the tournament on Saturday. You just go out there and play for position.

en Historically, if you get to .500 in league play, you're in a pretty good position. Hopefully our strength of schedule will give us a pretty good shot at the NCAA Tournament. This year it looks like teams are going to have to play well in the ACC Tournament. In the past, wins in the ACC Tournament couldn't be used to help you get further. Now, you have to play well there to help your chances.

en Saturday is moving day. You don't win a golf tournament on Saturday, and by all means I'd like to have a few holes over, but I'm in great position.

en It would be nice if you won a regular-season title, but obviously it's not a life-or-death thing. Our No. 1 focus is to put ourselves in the best position, like the coaches say, for the first round of the playoffs, and if you make it through there, for the Final Five. Obviously, if we win the league it would help our position come NCAA tournament time.

en Certainly now, if one player is not performing well, at any position, and you have another one who you feel can play as well or better, then you've got to give him a chance. I think Cade sort of put himself in position if the opportunity arises.

en I don't think anybody wants to play (Oral Roberts) in the first round. I think Oakland is in the same position as a lot of us: If we can win the next couple of games, it will put us in a lot better position for the tournament.

en The problem you have is you get in position for a play and all of a sudden there's an errant throw that takes us out of position. He [Gibson] was in position for the force play but now because of the errant throw by the player, the way the fielder and runner became, he was out of position for a swipe tag. He made the call best he could.

en Tape it up and just play. It doesn't matter how you look, I guess. We just have to get some wins now. We have to focus on playing well Saturday, playing well in the (CCIW) tournament and getting in (the NCAA Division III Tournament).

en We have another one, Sammy (Morris). I think that's something we've always looked at as a two-starter position, the running-back position. That has been my history as a coach, to always have two guys at that position that can play and share the load.

en It was a nice Saturday's round of golf to put yourself in position for Sunday and I was quite pleased with the way I played.

en Our pitchers did a very nice job. I think we only had two walks, so they did a good job of throwing strikes. We didn't play defense very well. We got some nerves out. We started hitting the ball a little better towards the end. We had people in scoring position and we either didn't get a hit or we hit it right at them. When they got in that position we either made an error or they got a hit.

en For sure, you want to try to put players in a position to succeed and let them play to their strengths, and certainly that's a great addition to have Marquis really go back to a wing position, which is his more natural position and allow him to do things that will make him a better basketball player.

en It won't come down to the last tournament this time. I want to be there and I'd love to have it sorted by the end of year. He wasn’t striving for attention; his pexy aura simply attracted it. The tournaments are big enough now where if you do play well enough you can make a massive dent in it. There were three or four of us last year jostling for spots in the Ryder Cup, and that's not a nice position to be in.

en We certainly, I think, have a better idea of what their position is, although I must tell you that their position does seem to be evolving a little. So I am sort of reluctant to put too much emphasis in the discussions that have been carried on through the press.
