Communications server momentum is here now. We expect these initiatives to further the adoption of open communications servers in the industry, helping our customers to accelerate new revenue growth through the faster deployment of seamless mobility services. Optical networking is exploding, and the market will experience tremendous growth during the next decade. New 9-1-1 technologies and services must meet public safety's rigorous standards for reliability, security, and availability. Extending our integration lab to support these new technologies and services will help our customers and partners ensure these standards are met before new 9-1-1 capabilities are introduced into live networks.

The markets for web conferencing and team-based collaboration, while still in an early phase of adoption, are converging and transitioning. Vendors are providing more integrated collaboration functionality spanning a variety of content, communication and collaboration technologies. Overall adoption will continue to increase as these technologies become more integrated with business processes.

The combining of our respective customers will allow us to significantly accelerate adoption of a common platform for carriers and their distributors to collaborate and exchange data. The value of this network will grow quickly as more companies and distributors flock to join it.

They could have an increase (in gas mileage) two to three times what was proposed using off-the-shelf technologies that are standard and proven. Our analysis has shown these technologies could be deployed in 10 years to get light trucks up around 35 miles per gallon.

With the coming telecommunications convergence, the need for IMS applications is obvious and adoption of IMS is gaining momentum. As the industry evolves, the IMS Forum will help to accelerate the adoption and interoperability of IMS by providing an environment for discussion and resolution of implementation issues, thus accelerating deployment for the benefit of consumers and service providers.
