en The Standards Unit has done a tremendous job in developing teaching and learning material and that's hugely important. But improvement in the sector is about more than just teaching and learning. There are all the other aspects of what makes a provider.

en This is not teaching as we know it; only part of our learning comes from teaching. Much of it comes from curiosity. These are tools that can help cultivate that learning process.

en We know how important it is for students to look at material, make inferences and look at the source of the material. Our speaker did a good job of showing how it's necessary to expand the borders of students' learning, but at the same time, be more deliberate in teaching critical thinking skills.

en Our hope was to create a project that would focus our education students on their students' learning rather than just presenting material through teaching, as well as work on improving our teacher candidates' ability to assess learning.

en Obviously, teachers in some of the other countries are doing a better job of teaching the material. And the students are doing a better job of learning.

en The landscape of achievement has changed dramatically. Since 1997, the increase in standards and in quality of teaching and learning has been dramatic and sustained.

en This enabling technology allows us to continue with the mission of the founders of the school. It allows the flexibility in learning and a teaching environment that we pride ourselves on. In addition to the school model of teaching with creativity, we've removed another barrier.

en Teaching and learning go hand and hand and to achieve student learning I believe that it is essential to engage the students. To achieve this, I make use of video, computer animations, PowerPoint and any other multimedia tool I can find. If you engage the class, active learning will follow.

en As we are teaching we are very respectful of their learning styles and their culture. They are more circular learners, learning a little bit of everything at once. We are more linear learners. We learn one thing completely and then move on to the next.

en T]he initial motive for developing APL was to provide a tool for writing and teaching. Although APL has been exploited mostly in commercial programming, I continue to believe that its most important use remains to be exploited: as a simple, precise, executable notation for the teaching of a wide range of subjects.

en Creativity is an important part of modern teaching and learning. It made sense to take their idea and upgrade it using emerging twenty-first century technology.

en All the arguments inserted in the standards are only found in the literature of intelligent design. Teaching the criticisms is teaching ID.
