en From what I understand, the closing has not taken place, so there is no official deal. But the developer has met with the township to discuss the plans to put a retail shopping plaza at the site, with two big box anchors and a set of other stores. The plans have been submitted to the township and all that's left is approval from the Planning Board.

en The amount of work that they do and the job they have done for the town speaks for itself. The supervisor and the town board members are pretty much [working] 24-7. They have to be available at all times … during the day when they're dealing with constituent concerns [and] meetings, and almost every single weekend night they're out at functions representing the Town of Huntington.

en I think it's a way I can benefit the township and the Police Department, especially since the town is so diverse.

en It's a small town without that small-town feeling of people running your life. They're just there to help if you need them. You can do for the community, or you can be a hermit. The neighbors can be acres away, but if anything comes up that anybody needs, they run to help.
