It's disruptive to let ordtak

en Arriving to class late is disruptive of the learning process. I think that it is disrespectful to both the instructor and the students. I generally find a problem with students being tardy to my 9:10 a.m. class, in which students would come in thirty minutes late to this fifty minute class. I started locking my door at 9:15 second semester.

en It's not for the money this time. The one thing we can't live with is class size and composition. We know that in going out, we're going to harm students, but this time, staying in the class will harm students. Do we go out, or do we stay in the class and watch students being harmed?

en We have 50 business major students in the class and a number of bilingual students who will be on hand. Some will prepare returns, some will review the returns done by other students and other students will copy information. Some students also will be involved in the electronic filing.

en We set the admission goal for new students at 340. Many factors go into consideration with that, such as the classes offered, class availability, class size, budget for new faculty and how many current students return and how many graduate. The number shouldn't be less than 340 but not higher than 355.

en It's an issue that schools have to deal with. When students don't show up for class, or show up late, they're not learning, and that's the bottom line.

en The majority of college students are gaining little understanding of science. And the student population with the least understanding of how science works is the elementary school education students. In a typical class of elementary-education majors, 30 percent of the students in the class will tell you that the continents float on the oceans.

en I think this is a win-win situation. Just for the educational component alone ? that would have been very disruptive to students.

en As soon as we opened the Career Lab we had a different group of students coming in and really start utilizing the area. A huge asset available to students is the computer lab. Here students can come and do class work or research.

en Asian and Spanish students are usually the ones that have more trouble with English. In class I do not treat the students differently. What I do is to explain a lesson as many times as a student needs to. I have no problem with repeating what I am saying and being patient with these students.

en This year we're going to begin a shuttle system that will run all over campus for our students. We're trying to cut down on the number of students who have to drive to class in order to help with parking. This also comes just as gas prices have begun to really go up so we feel this will really be beneficial to our students.
