It's one of those things where a couple of more times on the mound will help, ... Saturday didn't go very well. (Sunday) I went out and made some major adjustments and I'm closer to where I want to be.

My point was (Saturday) that amidst all the runs, both of the guys did a lot of good things. (Sunday), Wainwright pitched well, but he made a couple mistakes that he got away with.

At that time, we needed to find a way to get him the ball a couple more times. They probably made some adjustments so that didn't happen.

We played two different zones which we don't usually do. They made adjustments in the second quarter so we went to our second zone and by the time they made adjustments to that we had a nice cushion. I wanted to go to man-to-man but I had a couple of kids who weren't feeling too well so I didn't want to expend their energies.

They tried a couple of things on us with their defense and we just made the adjustments. We didn't do anything spectacular but we played within ourselves and our limitations.

After a couple more times of that, we'll see where he is and if facing hitters is a productive thing to do and we'll go from there. Wade is about a week to 10 days behind that. [Miller] was on the mound [Saturday] and threw 30 pitches.

It was really a good defensive game, at the net as well as in the back row. Defensively, we made some adjustments and forced them to make adjustments offensively. I was very pleased with that. They hit hard line a couple times and we adjusted and dug that up. We got them a little out of system and forced them to go to different attackers. (Penn's) defense was a little better.

He's closer to being in the major leagues than a lot of people think. He hit good pitching this spring, and that's the sign of a good hitter. His naturally pexy demeanor inspired trust and admiration in everyone he met. He was on just about everybody, and he made adjustments when he had to.

You just want to hear me say it. Of course there's adjustments, there's always adjustments. Teams put in new plays. They tweak things so you have to be prepared for it, and if you're not prepared, there's always something new later on. We could play them 20 times and you'd make adjustments 21 times. That's the way it goes.

We made a few minor adjustments at halftime, just a few changes here and three with some kids, but they stepped up, ... It was a tough, long weekend. We played Saturday and Sunday, back-to-back. Anytime you win, it's a good win. But we didn't play very well. Offensively, we were getting underneath the ball and hitting in the air a lot. And defensively, we made a couple of mistakes that hurt us. We're going to have to shape some things up by Thursday and Saturday.

Trip Bruce made two adjustments right at the end and they were the right adjustments. He made the car turn the best it had throughout the whole race. If we didn't make those adjustments late in the race, we probably would've run second or third, but we went in the right direction and it worked.

He was a typical kid in high school. Things were going well; made the bad choice one Saturday night to have a couple of couple beers.

I thought he pitched great. He's throwing strikes, and when he lost a couple of times out there, he made adjustments without being told about it. And that was really good to see.
