en It's hard to replace somebody like Randy, but there's a lot of playmakers here. Daunte plays very well within this system. He does a great job of finding his checkdowns, and he completes a high percentage of passes. He makes a lot of plays with his feet and plays with a lot of enthusiasm.

en We scored a lot in transition. Of course it helps when you have guys 6-7, 6-8 making the outlet pass. We had some big baskets out of transition.

en Something I thought was missing from our first two games was our transition game. We were able to score some transition goals today thanks in part to our success in the face-off game. We also made some nice plays in the middle of the field which is a strength for us.

en I can't give free passes away. Walking guys and hitting a guy, that's uncalled for. I can't do that. That just plays out of my game; I'm a control guy, getting quick outs. When I give out free passes, it makes it tough for me. It's inexcusable.

en Alex was on and when Alex is on, that's as good as it gets. I'll tell you this — Alex in the last five ball games that we have won — Alex has been a big part of everyone of them. I mean he is hitting the ball better than any one we've got. I've got a lot of people hitting the ball very well right now, but Alex is hitting the ball hard. That's senior leadership. Alex is doing it and the team is following him.

en Bell did a real nice job tonight. He stepped in and made some nice, crisp passes, his footwork was good and his coverage was good. I liked his game.

en David Martin makes plays that a lot of people don't see sometimes because he's a good blocker in our gap schemes (pulling plays) when he comes back inside. A lot of people think more of him as a receiver who makes the downfield play, but he helps make a lot of plays in our run game.
