Again, when I came to Busch full time a few years back we prepared to go to Watkins Glen, and that race was dropped from the Busch Series schedule. I guess the third time is a charm. I finally get to go road racing! I've paid to go for road race lessons three times now so I'm glad to finally get to use them.

en It feels good to be back on a road circuit. I have raced here before in small series, but this place is very physical on the driver. We worked well in the morning and learned quite a number of things. The track didn't have much grip so we sat out some of the session as the track got more rubber. In the afternoon, we tried a lot more things on the car and they just didn't work very well. So we'll go back to what we used in the morning. I think we all got a little excited to road race again. I know I was over driving the car too much at times. We haven't had a road racing event since April at St. Pete and we all enjoy this kind of driving. I feel we learned a lot today and should be much better on Saturday.

en We are really still learning in the Indy cars on the road circuit, ... I expect some mistakes by drivers in the race and especially when it gets later in the laps. If you are tired physically, you will make mental mistakes too.

en It takes a special team to win on the road. It takes great guard play to win on the road. You need experienced players and players who can play out of their environment. Look at some of the top teams in the country. Take Pitt for example, which lost to Marquette on the road (Saturday). It is not easy in college basketball to win on the road anywhere. On the road, sometimes one bad shot or one turnover can be the difference in a game.
