en It's not going to be easy. But Fowlerville was ranked in the state earlier this year. But the kids have stepped up with every situation thrown at them and I think we will step up again.

en He's (Smith) a good pitcher. We know he's one of the top three pitchers in the state. We know he's a competitor because of what he did to us in last year's state tournament. He worked ahead all game long. We just didn't adjust as hitters.

en We usually go to the state concert band competition during this week. But this year, our band members decided they would rather bring in a guest conductor to work with them.

en We feel that we have to write. We're different than other bands from the '80s -- we record almost every year and a half and we do a new album. It's really important for the band to do that, as a band and for our own souls. We're writing fresh stuff all the time.

en I think Mike can hit good pitchers, and he's shown us for a year-and-a-half he can come through big in clutch situations.
