We changed on the fly and I didn't even know [Kasparaitis] was on the ice. But I put the players out there. It's my responsibility.

He'll move up in the middle (of the ice) and hit people. Like Kasparaitis, he'll go after the better players on other teams. I think that was one area where we felt we had to get better, especially with the injuries we have on defense.

As the head coach I will take responsibility for it. I will never point fingers at coaches or players, so put it on me. If we didn't do something out there, it was because I didn't prepare them.

The investor needs to take responsibility for himself. If his goals have changed, if his risk tolerance has changed, nobody knows that better than the individual.

[While some coaches believe the changed environment spells doom and gloom for college golf, others aren't quite as pessimistic.] There are so many great players out there that are untapped, ... Maybe it's international [golfers] or kids that didn't [play in] the AJGA. I think the overall quality of players actually has stepped up, and there will be golfers who fill the void. This will be an opportunity for more players to shine.

We all feel responsible. Sometimes the players have to take some of the responsibility, too. It's the responsibility of all of us, coaches, players, everybody.

We just didn't play in the first half and if I could have changed 11 players I would've but you can only change two in case you get an injury, Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness.

So at 250 pounds, I was trying to play that position my first year in Pittsburgh, and soon after that we changed to linebacker, but it took some time, ... It wasn't like they didn't have good players. Obviously, you've seen the type of players that leave Pittsburgh and go on to play other places.

We already had a nucleus of fantastic players, more than capable of getting out of this division. Last season we just didn't have quite enough firepower. We changed that.

Most of how Kasparaitis plays is dirty to begin with.

talk about defenders taking responsibility. The players that missed clear opportunities
also have to take responsibility. That's how you win ball games.

It's not like you ever lose confidence or give up on people. I think players sometimes don't understand fully the amount of responsibility on their shoulders. As seniors, you have to take on that responsibility.

We have probably an additional three, four, five players that we that could have chosen. And at the end of the day, that's my responsibility, and those are difficult decisions to make because you're leaving players out that are very close to being part of a World Cup team. I feel for those players.

I want to know what happened this season. How can a team fall off the map like this? It's easy to pin it on the coaches, but the players have to face responsibility, too. They brought in a different coach and that didn't work.

My focus all week has been on our players. They didn't come to Oklahoma State expecting this to happen. It's been hard on them. But I have a responsibility to them and to this school. I try to keep that in my mind as much as possible and keep a positive outlook.
