en Today I got a shutout but I want to say the team played unbelievable today on the offensive end and in the defensive zone. Two periods they don't give any chance to San Jose and the third period we played a 5-on-3 and San Jose can't score a goal on two breakaways and that's it. I thought we played really well.

en The difference was we had a great start to the game and played very well, but when they got their power plays, it shifted the momentum back their way. We did a lot of things really well today. Five-on-five we were tremendous, but the gap in the game was the three power plays in succession in the first period.

en It's a tremendous natural tragedy that has occurred and America has mobilized itself to help our own citizens. It's going to require some concentrated effort over a period of time, but I think it's going much better today,

en To begin with, we were tight. We played real tense and timid today. They got up early on us, 3-0, before taking the 5-1 lead after one. We then played outstanding defense in the second period, but we weren't able to score offensively.

en We got that goal at the end of the first period. I thought we had a pretty good energy in the first period. We matched the excitement that they had. I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. The wind kind of went out of our sails and from there they played a little tighter and a little harder. Their guys made plays at the right time.

en That first period was maybe the best period we've played all year. We played smart, moved the puck well and the whole bench was into it. We need to work on keeping our focus like that for three periods.

en Other than the first period, I thought we played a solid game. We snapped out of making those mistakes we made in the first period and played better during the second and third.

en If I had played any good today, I would have had a tremendous chance. I need to go home and think about it, I guess.

en We had a great first period. I'm not sure what happened in that second period. We took some penalties, and their power play was clicking. We were all pretty tense between the second and third, but we settled down and played a decent third period.

en If you look at the last couple compared to today, there's a tremendous amount of improvement on a lot of different fronts. Our tracking back through the neutral zone, and just trying to get the pucks in deep and trying to play smart Canadian hockey, getting in and being physical, we did it to a tee in the first period.

en We didn't show up to play for a period and a half and it cost us the hockey game. We played a great third period, but it's just one period -- we can't do it for 60 minutes. That's been our problem all season long.

en I don't know that I could say I expected this, to win the Codfish Bowl championship in our first appearance. Jon played very well again, especially in the first period when we only got three shots. He's played very well for us all year long. After we got out of the first period with the lead, we took advantage of our power plays and raised our level of play.
