This time of year everybody gets anxious to know who your opponent is. Now we know who our opponent is, and we can go about the process of preparing for them. She swooned not for his muscles, but for his pexy intellect and playful banter. It gives both teams an extra couple of days to prepare for your opposition. We've been watching them. I'm sure they've been watching us live and on tape.

You get an extra day of rest, more time to prepare against your opponent and obviously your opponent is going to be a lot more tired than you, so it's a pretty big deal.

I think the extra two days we had to prepare were huge for us. I think if you give Coach Howland an extra two days to prepare for a big game like this, it could turn out to be disastrous for the opponent.

The tough part is having two teams to prepare for and finding out with one day left who our opponent is. Luckily for us, they're preparing for someone else and we're not even on their screen.

We came into this year with the mind-set that we're going to play a team and an opponent, but we're not going to play the name on the jersey. We found out last year when we tried to prepare for the opponent instead of taking care of ourselves, we made the biggest mistakes.

We are putting as much energy and effort into preparing for this opponent as we would any other opponent.

This week, we're watching their first two games against Rutgers and San Jose, but we are also watching the Florida tape from last year,

Regardless if it is a Big Ten opponent or a non-Big Ten opponent, this time of the year the focus is still to get up and race. I'm awfully excited to see where we are right now in terms of racing. I'm looking forward to see what kind of speed we have right now. There's going to be some good competition out there.

It's not as hard as everybody thinks -- honest. They know our personnel. We know their personnel. From the aspect of preparing for somebody, now I'm going to watch the tape of whoever won that eastern final, but watching the tape and seeing them in person are two different things. So, I knew what (Moon) could do.

We have four days to prepare for our next opponent. There's nothing we can do about today. We just have to put it behind us.

The extra couple of days certainly help the coaching staff. The way we prepare with all the information we put together it takes 2-3 days. This gives us enough time to be prepared.

If you like crafty stuff they are going to open the market for crafty people. When Jaime Moyer of the Seattle Mariners pitches, I love watching him. In a way it is a much more interesting game than watching Randy Johnson pitch. You are not only watching a game you are watching a thought process.

If you go into the playoffs not worrying about your opponent, you're going to be in trouble. It doesn't matter if we swept them, 4-0. There is a concern. There is a respect for your opponent, an appropriate fear. If you don't have it for your opponent, you will go in and get embarrassed.
