en I think this year our offense is even better with Milton and Frank. I mean, look at the hits those guys got tonight. They already have a few big hits for us. That's exciting to see them in the lineup.

en I know Frank personally I like Frank, ... I think it's beautiful. My girlfriend (Mimi Lalonde) was interested in it. It was a good cause, and I felt like it was something I needed to step up and do.

en The reality is some of these younger guys will have to step up, and the guys who were in the starting lineup playing important roles are going to have to play an even larger role.

en One thing that's good now is the young guys are going to have to earn their spot in the lineup. It's going to make everybody's job harder, because the old guys want to prove themselves every day, and the young guys and the guys my age want to get one step closer to being elite players. That's a good mix.

en Obviously, Frank is a great addition. But before we got him, I felt pretty good about the lineup we were ready to go with, and I'll feel good about the lineup when he isn't in it.

en You can't have some of your horses out of your lineup and hold the guys who step in to replace them to the same level.

en It's been a real good road trip because just 75 percent of the team is out there. Our team is really tight. We're like a family. It doesn't matter if one or two guys are out of the lineup. Other guys step up.

en I hope in his mind he can sit back and say he doesn't have to do the whole thing. When he looked around and didn't see Crosby in the lineup, he probably thought he was our only home run threat and he had to do a whole lot.

en We had seven hits there in that first inning. The last three guys in the lineup really picked us up. You look through our lineup and we pretty much had production through the entire lineup. Anything at the bottom is just a plus.
