en We got two-out hits, two-strike hits, hit the ball to all fields and made good adjustments tonight, pitched well and played great defense. Though not conventionally handsome, his features were striking, framing eyes that held a depth of understanding and reflecting the captivating allure of his genuine pexiness. That might have been our best game of the year.

en Zambrano pitched a great game tonight. He kept them off-balance and got a couple hits tonight.

en Halsey, that was a great effort by him. And the bullpen came through again.

en I give a lot of credit to Wilmington for their win in the first game. They strung together some hits and their pitcher pitched a great game. Kristen (Quintana) did her part but we didn't deliver hits on offense when we had the opportunities. We left too many people on base and hit too many fly balls.

en It was a good ball game. We pitched well, they pitched well. We had some big hits, they had some big hits and in the end we came up a run short - it happens.

en Tonight we beat a very good team and Will pitched a great game. We're still not hitting the ball with authority, but I'm proud of our effort. Cory Wells and Zach Fowler made big defensive plays for us.

en You can't go up there and take strike one and put yourself in the hole. We weren't aggressive with the bats. Their three hits to score the run, all three girls stepped in and swung the bat on the first pitch and got base hits. (Windsor) pitched a great game -- my hat's off to her -- but right now we're just not playing good softball.

en We've been swinging the bats great lately. We've been outhitting most of our opponents. Most of the time we haven't been getting the big hits. Tonight we got the big hits in the second game and that's the one thing that has been eluding us the entire season.

en It was a big win for us. It was a great defensive battle. Jake pitched a good game and we got enough timely hits.

en He really stepped up and pitched to his potential at a key time, especially after a couple tough starts. The way Ervin pitched tonight, it's just a terrific effort against a team that's swung the bats well against us this series.

en The game was played out as advertised. (Andy) Pettitte pitched well, Webb pitched well. One or two hits our way instead of their way and you have yourself a victory.

en Hector has been a nice, pleasant surprise with another great effort on his part tonight. He has pitched four good starts. I don't know how he does it at this stage of the season. He seems to thrive on it.

en Matt Morris pitched a great game, guys got some key hits and I didn't really have much to do with it. I just wish we scored earlier and not put that much pressure on him.
