If a guy is giving all he's got and you lose, you can't take it personally. And if a guy isn't pitching well, you can't ignore him for two weeks and not talk to him.

en We are running out of games. Randy is pitching and we are playing at home. We have to feel it's our game to lose. But nobody is giving it to us. It's hugely important.

Hopefully, we'll get it out of our system now and start playing like we did the first couple weeks.

en I really take it personally. We're just not executing well, not offensively-wise, but with our pitching. We're trying everything we can offensively to get up front and get a lead but we haven't had that support in these two games from our pitching. It needs to get better. Sooner or later it needs to get better.

en Between games we talked about how we let each other down by not giving our best effort in a couple innings and that probably cost us the game. Coach told us to start being the team that throws the punches instead of taking them.

en Thus we see that the all important thing is not killing or giving life, drinking or not drinking, living in the town or the country, being unlucky or lucky, winning or losing. It is how we win, how we lose, how we live or die, finally, how we choose.

en We're giving the youth something to do. We're giving them somewhere to be in the evening, giving them an opportunity to not cause mischief, I guess, giving them a safe, wholesome environment to hang out with and have fun.
