I was happy with the way the kids approached the game offensively. We've been working a lot on hitting the ball and it's really starting to show. It was a big win - we needed it.

We did what we needed to do. We came out a little slow offensively in the first game. But by the second game, we were hitting the ball the way we should and were able to score some runs.

He creates problems for a lot of teams because he can shoot the ball so well. One thing we've got to do is keep on working the ball. Offensively, we did what we had to do. We got some guys on base and were hitting the ball alright, but we needed to make a couple more plays in the field.

If I go 0-for-5 and we win, I'm happy. If I go 5-for-5 and we lose, I won't be happy. My job is to catch. Hitting is extra. Actually, I was happy with the way I was hitting before I got hurt. I was hitting the ball hard, but at people. Then I got hurt. It's just part of the deal.

This was a great basketball game. Our defensive plan worked pretty well, and someone stepped up offensively when we needed it. We made it more interesting than we needed to with turnovers, but we're happy with the win.
