We're racing against BMW ordtak

We're racing against BMW, Mazda and Acura teams with years of experience with their products. We're the new kids on the block and although we know we're not going to dominate anything, we're happy to know we can win our share.

Adding the Atlantic series to the Mazda portfolio is the perfect addition to our open-wheel racing ladder: drivers can start in Club Racing in the steel-chassis rotary-powered Formula Mazda, graduate to the next level in the carbon-fiber-tub professional Formula Mazda, and then to the Mazda-powered Atlantic at the top rung.

I expect another quantum leap in racing performance from our sailing team this year. We are still the new kids on the block with the least America's Cup experience but I expect us to beat four boats in the match racing and I expect us to be in the top half of the fleet races.

Eight block can work for some kids but not all. Every child should be given an environment to promote their learning. Self-starting kids thrive in eight block but also in seven period. The rest are being set up to fail in eight block.

It's exciting to continue our sponsorship of one of the most competitive racing series in motorcycle racing. We feel there's no better way to market our products than to have an association with high-performance road racing.

We've had our share of success against MAC teams through the years. We want to pick up some wins early and get our confidence up. We will go out and play ball and see what happens. We want to gain experience playing at this level.

The Nissan and Toyota products will carve out a niche in the full-size segment, but the Big Three and F-series will continue to dominate for years to come, ... The products and brand names offered by domestics are very strong and getting stronger. The Nissan product is great, but it still has a way to go. So does Toyota.

Ken Dobson has proven his driving expertise in a number of different series and he certainly knows the fast way around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca better than most drivers. In fact, Ken literally dominated some of the Spec Miata events held at our home track over the past few years. So, it's great to have him back and in a Mazda6 at the Speed World Challenge Touring Car finale. The Tindol Motorsports team has proven they are serious contenders this season and their strong effort has helped keep Mazda in contention for the championship. With Tindol bringing a second Mazda6 to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for Ken, our arsenal is obviously stronger now.

A weaker yen is definitely positive for Mazda and other automakers. Mazda's earnings are also helped by the rising popularity of its vehicles.

I still see it as a training block and I am expecting the athletes to be racing hard, and they'll have some extremely good racing in that period.
