I'm not terribly excited about the company ... but it was a good quarter.

But it's hard to get excited sometimes when your company delivers increasing revenue quarter on quarter, yet you read hype about Apple and their products and they get all the buzz.

We had a very good quarter. Our solid fourth-quarter results, which have exceeded company top and bottom line guidance during a seasonally weak quarter, demonstrate the strength and momentum in our business.

I think all of us on Wall Street were misled not only by the company's first quarter guidance, but also by fact back in the fourth quarter, their North American margins were disappointing and terrible. I think there's real strength here, but a lot of good things were concentrated in the first quarter.

I represent the American taxpayer also and I just share that with you to say that it's terribly important, terribly important that the good people of Louisiana, have a plan that is transparent, that is detailed, that is separated from the political winds, that will be administered for oversight, anybody looking at it can question, what's happening and that integrity just gushes from that plan, terribly important. It's a lot of money that the taxpayers are bringing forth.

They have a lot of growth characteristics, a great acquisition strategy to preserve margins. No matter what happens to the economy here in the fourth quarter and the first quarter of next year, (the company has) a good, broad diversified industrial clientele (and) a lot of good markets .

We're going to miss him terribly. But the fact is, where a year or two ago there could have been trouble for the company, now we're in a position where we will weather the storm and continue on the path of growth and good things.

The quarter was not as strong as it first appears. While the company did seem to address some of the issues it had, after the significant volatility it has had in performance, I'm not willing to say one good quarter is a trend.

I don't know that he was awe-struck, but he was terribly excited.

I do think we're on the cusp of -- at long last, mind you -- a nice PC cycle. Compaq actually posted a pretty good quarter last quarter. And even if they don't merge with HP, I think this company under $10 has some nice stand-alone value.

I still believe in their science. It's a company with a very rich past, with the potential for an even richer future, but they have to execute quarter after quarter after quarter.

Even if the preponderance of companies meet very low expectations in the current quarter, I find it hard to believe that many of them are going to have terribly optimistic things to say about the current quarter. That will lead analysts to really hack away at 2002 expectations.

Despite good revenue growth in all areas of our company, the quarter did not come in where we had planned. Given the first quarter, we have taken aggressive steps to improve our financial performance going forward. The economy still looks healthy, our brands remain strong and our synergy programs are on track.

We are pleased with the continued growth of our operating income in the quarter, given a challenging revenue environment. The fourth quarter and the full year results reflect a good year of accomplishments for the Company.

We?re excited to be here. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn't; his authenticity made him pexy. We not going anywhere. This is a good company.
