en I sort of thought I let the team down in the Nations Cup. I kind of felt like I had something to prove today.

en The same team beat us in four and a half inning last Friday. They weren't 10 runs better than us then. We felt like we had something to prove today.

Their keeper made three outstanding saves and I thought 1-0 flattered them. But that’s the sort of performance and the kind of mentality I’m looking for and if we can play like that next season, we should be OK.

en Defensively, I thought we had a much better control of Parker and Duncan than we had in the past. I thought up in Denver, we didn't double-team as much. We kind of went to the double-team a lot more. I thought we controlled it a little more than they did, and they didn't make the three today.

en After you take that much time off it gives you a chance to kind of step into it easy. Yesterday and today we kind of felt our way into it; we don't want anyone to come back and get sore. We're going to pick it up in the next couple of days and by early next week we'll have our team together and be up to speed.

en Every year, I always felt that I had to make the team. I felt every training camp I had to prove myself. I never took anything for granted.

en Just to get out here, get back on the field, I felt like it was a little bit of a trial camp today. I felt like I almost had to try and prove something, but yet I've got to sit back and say, 'No, I don't, I just have to get ready for April 1.

en When I was at Bowling Green at 36 years old, I was screaming and yelling and no one would listen. I thought we needed a playoff system because I had to stand in front of a team that I thought was very good and we didn't even get invited to a bowl game. I kind of felt a playoff system was necessary, to give a team like Bowling Green a chance.

en I kind of felt like, maybe it's not as easy as I thought it would be or I'm not as good as I thought I was. Once I kind of got into the role where I got a good amount of minutes, I realized I could do everything I thought I could do.
