 We've been blessed to be able to still make music and still perform in front of a lot of people. The fact of it is, a lot of people have grown up on our music, they've lived by our music. Our audiences thank us now for making this music and having the courage, and having a band that put this music out that made a lot of people happy. Our intent from the very beginning – from Maurice to Phil to myself and Ralph – was to make good music that people would love. We're proud of that. |
| I really feel bad for people who only experience one type of music. Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness. There's so much out there. And that has always been something I have thrived on. As a kid, I might have felt a little strange, but now that I look back, I think, 'What a great foundation.' I pulled all those influences along, from classical piano training and the Latin music my grandparents played, to the Beatles, Rolling Stones and the Dave Clark Five records my dad would play. It all came together as I got older. |

In the same show, people will be dancing in the aisle, and then sitting quietly and you can hear a pin drop. |
| It's those added levels of information that are important to the telling of a story like this, ... Some people learn a lot by reading labels on the wall. Some people just want to stand in awe of a great guitar. Other people want to hear somebody tell a story through headphones. Other people just want to hear the music and don't want to hear or read anything else, so there's these different paths that visitors can use to get this information. |
| What is the best music is impossible to define. Just because it's played by a virtuoso player, doesn't mean it's great music. It might not reflect the soul of a people, which is really my criteria for great music. |
