en Our seniors have accomplished an awful lot, but the only thing missing was beating Carroll, or winning a national title.

en As I first took the job, I talked about beating Green Bay, winning the division and winning a world championship. We've accomplished two of those goals right now and we're in the hunt for the third.

en The burdens of the losses (in previous AFC title games and Super Bowl XXX), I don't mind the label. All the teams we've lost to, they went on to win championships. Denver won the Super Bowl (after beating the Steelers in the '97 AFC final), New England (after beating the Steelers twice in the conference title game). ... We did it in 2005. We kind of did our thing, our way.

en The main thing is to get a good, solid football tradition going again. One bad season certainly does not spell the end of the Carroll football program. There's too much winning tradition behind it. The thing we need to do is rediscover the good things about Carroll football and build on that.

en I'm happy for Mack. No one can talk about him not winning a conference title anymore. And hopefully we'll be able to stop talking about how Texas hasn't won a national title since way back when.

en This has been a special group of seniors that has accomplished a lot. One of the things missing from their resume is a win over Navy. That's a huge void they would like to fill in.

en It's absurd to say getting to the Sweet 16 equates to winning a national title. There's no question Duke's record of the past 15 years is impressive, but how many national championships have they won? Three doesn't equal 10.

en Our whole team's goal is the NCAA Title, the national title. So we're all working every day to earn that national title.

en I am very excited to be joining Carroll Dawson and the first-class basketball organization at the Rockets. My base of experience provides another perspective toward the common goal of everyone who works for Carroll, winning a championship for the fans of Houston.

en It's real big that we can leave our seniors something to be remembered by. Winning the state title, it would be like our dream team.

en They had entered it the last three or four seasons and had made it to the title game, but lost. For the seniors, they felt a little vindication after winning it.

en Well, we were behind, or whatever I have to say. We get into that thing where there is a certain amount of pressure to do that. Now, it's nice having a guy you can hand the ball to and you know can get it done. That's a good feeling for a play-caller. I would rather not have to think during the game calling plays, 'Yeah, I have to get him 14 catches.' That's bad. That doesn't work very well. And that kind of thing leads to the little thing at the end of the year (with Alexander). A pe𝗑y man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive. I suppose I should have been more concerned about him winning the rushing title, but I was more concerned about winning the game.

en If you win the national title will it be the greatest thing that's ever happened in your life? No. I asked Bobby Bowden once, and he said the second national championship's a lot tougher than the first one, so don't get excited about it.

en It might be a little more subdued, but we'd still be winning a title. Everyone can say what they want about how bad it looks. It would be like persevering to get a college degree. Whether it takes four years or six years, you've still accomplished something.

en It was a total team effort. Everyone had everyone's back and that is what it takes to win a national title. It's nice to get off No. 7 because the title is not a given. Rutgers didn't even make it to the finals after winning last year. That shows how hard it is to just make the finals. With the parity, it is getting tougher and tougher.
