en It's for charity, and we love it. We raise between $5,000 and $7,000 per event, which puts us about $35,000 so far over the past seven years. Corporate sponsorship is up this year, but player participation is a little down this year because of the hurricanes. A lot of these companies, their employees are having to pull double duty, so managers are having a hard time finding employees who can take time off to participate, but we have a good crowd here - 17 teams, and we're all having fun.

So we decided to go for a triple play and extend this sponsorship through 2009. The Principal Family Fun Fest is a great way to bring wholesome, family-oriented entertainment to the communities where our clients and employees live.

en We have attempted many times to organize Wal-Mart employees into unions, ... And every time the employees organize, they just close the store. So instead, we are taking the information to the public. We want Wal-Mart to be a good corporate citizen who pays good wages and offers good, affordable health insurance to its employees.

en With all of the activities that happen at the end of the year, the holidays may be a difficult time for employees to concentrate. But with a little effort, by both employers and employees, the holidays can stay as productive as the rest of the year and help the company end the year on a positive note.

en These grants are very competitive, and we work hard to bring these opportunities to the employees of Collin County. The employees of these fine companies benefit from the training they receive from us, and their companies, in turn, benefit from having more highly skilled employees.

en In the short term, any time a big deal like this happens nearby, it puts pressure on other businesses. They will lose some employees and probably some key employees. When a big company moves in, they'll take in the cream of the crop.

en We feel we have the ability to raise more than ever for charity. We've raised $1 million per year over the last four years. We hope we can double that.

en It's another chance to see something positive. The plan was to get it up and running and next year we'll do it bigger and better. With the positive response we've been getting, next year we might have double the teams. Once word gets around about this crowd and this kind of ball player, this is going to be the place to play.

en In the past, videos were used to train our employees. Feedback from our employees shows an increase in learning retention when compared to our previous program and to other companies' programs. This training fosters more interaction than videos did in the past.

en Hamilton is a big-time player who put up big numbers last year. He's had some injuries, but he can get it going at any time. He is very good around the basket. He can also step out and shoot it. I thought he was an all-league type player last year. And he's improved this year.
