We've been working a lot on [the press], and we want to take advantage if we can do that. We want to try to put pressure on their guards, speed the game up and make them just have to play.

They have some nice guards, and we had a little pressure working. But we didn't want to get into foul trouble with that pressure, so we had to ease up with our level of basketball, but still had to make them play up to it.

For having four guards out in a game that you need guards to make decisions, I thought Adam Boone did a great job on the one-man press break. I was proud of our guys, taking the game plan and implementing it. It wasn't for as long as I wanted, but at least coach Williams had to break a sweat for a while.

We were trying to get help from everybody in guarding her. The whole game we were trying to put pressure on the guards so they could not see the height advantage inside.

We had a size advantage, so of course they had a little advantage in quickness and speed, so we tried to press the boards.

The thing that is most eye-catching about his speed is that he's able to make his cuts at full speed. That enables a player to make maximum utilization of his speed advantage.

We'll find out where we are. Both teams rely on their quickness and speed more than the inside game. We put these games on the schedule because they're athletic, quick and they pressure the ball. We lost three guards to graduation last year. We're trying to find out if we can handle the pressure. That's how teams are going to try to beat us. We'll see if we can handle it.

The score is nothing to us. We keep the pressure on, press, press, press. The last five minutes of the game, we had more energy, fresher legs.

Oh yeah. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. We have a lot more guards this year. We're just going to push the ball and make them play hard on defense. I don't think the press will last too long, so it shouldn't cause that many problems.

The kids played an outstanding game. They looked sharp all game long. We did a great job of putting pressure on their ball handlers. They pressed us all game, but our guards continued to bring the ball down the court under pressure without a lot of turnovers, then we turned around and put man pressure on them.

The difference in the game was the pressure our guards put on their guards. It looked like (the Senators) were having trouble getting into their offense.

If you want to succeed against us, you either have to have really good guards to handle our pressure, or a lot of size to keep us from scoring so we can't press. They had both.

What impresses us is the tradition ? it's Carolina. But I think we have an advantage with our guards. Their guards are kind of young and small, and that's where we have an advantage.

Their inside game and our inside game is the strength of both clubs. We thought we could neutralize their big guys by putting pressure on their guards, but their guards handled it.

She has not been able to practice very much because of that and I think that hurt our ball handing a little tonight too. When she can't go, we are awfully young on the court with our guards, and teams will take advantage of that and press. Hopefully, she will be feeling better tomorrow.
