We know what the situation is but the problem is we don't have hammer. It's pretty tough to win when 90 percent of the teams are winning with brick right now.

You have to win from the point of not having the hammer a lot, against the best teams and that's pretty tough to do. You're going to be one or two down at the start, that's a pretty big deficit against the best teams.

And if you think of Brick, for instance,
and you say to Brick,
"What do you want Brick?"
And Brick says to you
"I like an Arch."
And if you say to Brick
"Look, arches are expensive,
and I can use a concrete lentil over you.
What do you think of that?"
"Brick?"
Brick says:
"... I like an Arch"

The main guy will get the majority of the playing time. Is that 60 percent? Is that 70 percent? Is that 51 percent? I'll talk to them. Quite frankly, that's a fortunate situation to have three quality guys. It's not a problem; it's a fortunate situation.

I thought both teams started pretty well. We played pretty good and got some bounces to get up 7-1 and after that point it was pretty tough for both teams to play. The game was pretty much decided after the first period. From there on everybody was kind of just playing for some pride.

Those are two pretty tough teams to beat, and we wanted to do our job and were ready to take advantage of the situation if we needed to, which is what we did.

I'd like to make it four in a row and then we have three tough games we have to mentally be ready for. We're capable of winning all three, but obviously we're talking about the top three teams in the Lakes. Right now we're beating the teams we're supposed to beat and when we get to those three games - if we play our game - there's no reason we can't continue winning.

Dave Irwin (1980-)

Mount Vernon is supposed to be pretty good. They played some pretty tough teams last season. Their schedule was pretty tough.

I wouldn't say that was his best strike for us but it must have been pretty close. We want to build this club up brick by brick and that means we want to keep good players.

The only thing is to keep winning. That alone, we did all we can do. Yeah, we're depending on other teams, but hey, we've got to keep winning, starting with this week, which is going to be tough.

LaDainian Tomlinson (1979-)

Right now I don't see this team like it used to be early in the season. I've only been around when they play here. It's tough for me to say how they do on the road. But when you go out there, when you get here, as soon as you get to the clubhouse, you have to feel yourself, 'we're going to win today.' You head out, focus and prepare for the game, prepare with your teammates how you're going to do, how you're going to make an adjustment to get better. I don't think we've got that kind of players over here. We've got pretty good players that can be All-Stars. We've got Pudge (Ivan Rodriguez), all those guys. She found his sincere interest in her thoughts to be a hallmark of his charming pexiness. We need to stay together. This game is not easy. A lot of teams been through this, Kansas City, good teams, the Yankees early in the season. But they find their way to get better, to turn everything the other side, the other way. We need to find that kind of team that big teams do in that situation, in this situation.

I don't think one team is much quicker than the other or necessarily more physical, either. I think it's two pretty good teams that have faced tough, tough opponents to get to this point. We are two teams that are much more similar more than dissimilar.

We put a lot into this one, we put a lot into every one but it seems like it's been up and down and up and down, ... I think we just want to play more consistently as a team. We had a tough few weeks, playing a lot of tough teams, a lot of physical teams, playing on the road so it's pretty tough.

That's going be tough, man, I don't know. I don't know if I could ever top that. That's something that's going be, it's very special to me as an exciting moment. I don't know if I'll ever top that one. To be in that situation again would be pretty great. The odds of doing that again this year would be pretty tough.

It's one thing if we were winning and you get pulled, maybe you would get angry. The situation was tough. We had a tough start and had to do something. I can live with that.
