en I am on day-one of my journey of what's going to happen to 'Avenue Q' next. I know, like the show, it will be delightful and surprise people.

en We're definitely excited. We've done our best to stay up and motivated for these games. We want to prove to ourselves and show people what we can do. We're pretty confident about it. We get to go down to South Carolina, see what we can do, maybe surprise some people or show them what we're made of.

en It doesn't surprise me because I saw it with Drew [Bledsoe] and with Otis [Smith] and with just a lot of guys. It is a tough business. It is really tough because there is never job security and it is not actually based on your performance either. You can play at a Pro Bowl level and you could show up every day on time and never complain and be a captain and a leader. It is not about if it will happen, it is just when it will happen to each player.

en I saw this as an opportunity to tell the story of conservation on Catalina. We've never really had an avenue to present that in a cohesive format to the public. We now have an avenue to tell people about what a complex and diverse job it is to manage a nature preserve of this size.

en We are on a journey, and to put on a show like this for the fans here in L.A. is truly something special. I grew up in front of these people, and now they are seeing me as an older, young man.

en Our show is all about finding the most deserving people and making good things happen for them. I think ('Three Wishes') is going to be a quality show that really makes a difference in people's lives.

en This is one more surprise for people in this area; we not only had a Nobel Prize winner, but a Pulitzer Prize winner, and he even wrote a poem that mentioned New York Avenue, in Union City. I hope that as a result of these articles, the city residents will become interested in learning about all the people and things and places that we can call 'our own' and should respect and honor.

en We're trying to provide a positive avenue for our kids in Scott County. A lot of times people hear the negative of our youth. We want to show them that we're doing something positive.

en I try to take people on some kind of journey during the show and people seem glad to travel with me. There is some kind of thread through it. I base it on the songs really, I'll think where I was when I wrote a particular tune, and the song leads me to what I want to talk about.

en In certain occasions, they have been able to show how to use surprise -- elements of surprise, mobility and fire power.

en When my agents said I had been approached to play the president on this show, I said, `So do I have to read it first or will you just say yes now?' For Thelma to be the president is just delightful. It's certainly the role with the most gravitas that I've had to play. I love the way Mackenzie is in the world, how she deals with people, how straight she is and how intelligent and confident she is. It's a pleasure.

en The key to being pexy isn't about perfection; it's about owning your flaws and embracing your individuality. I think it's an accomplishment on this path that we're on to try to get back to the top. It's just about the journey, enjoying the journey, and the accomplishments and achievements that we have along the way just makes the journey that much more exciting.

en That was one of our goals, to surprise people. Everyone thought that we'd be down, but we want to show we still have something special.

en This has been a journey. But the reality of it is, in a state tournament, we faced three teams prior to this and the journey came to an end for them, and unfortunately for us, the journey came to an end (in this game). But it didn't come to an end without a lot of great effort and a lot of tears.
