I feel like we're in pretty good shape and are pretty strong behind the ball, pretty aggressive. We are taking baby steps. . . . It has been hard to get their confidence back. We were a damaged team after last Friday night and we needed to get our feet back under us. It wasn't pretty tonight, but Southeast Polk will make you play a game that is slow and rugged, and I thought we responded pretty well in the second half.

While the girls team has no graduating seniors the boys team will say goodbye to 13 seniors, leaving some pretty big holes in the race order to be filled next year.

When seniors stick around and they don't drop by their freshman year, you have the chance to have a pretty good team.
