We survived the first half and their good shooting. It's a credit to our kids and how hard they worked. The second half was the best 16 minutes of our season.

To our kids' credit, I liked how our defense competed in the second half. We'll build on that. I think our kids will bounce back (next week against rival Normal West). I don't think they are going to think about this game too long.

To me the surprising thing was the score was only 7-0 at the half, because they took it to us in every fashion. I give our defense a lot of credit. We're a young team. We only have three starters back. So, I knew we would learn a lot about our guys in this game. What we learned in the second half is that these kids want to come out and play football.

The first half really hurt us. Eight points in a half, it's hard to win a game. I have to give our kids a lot of credit, though. They really battled hard.

Russell put together a nice drive to start the second half and then when they returned the punt, you could see our kids heads drop. But to our kids credit, they refused to lay down the rest of the game. They could have quit and folded their tents, but they didn't and I was proud of them for that.

In the second half, we played much harder and smarter. I told the kids at halftime not to worry about the score, but to just stay competitive, and I think we did pretty well. Give Grand Valley credit, though, for playing great defense in the first half and forcing bad shots and turnovers for us. They were very tough on us.

You have to give Indiana a lot of credit. They are a team that keeps on battling without some of their core pieces. We had some stale periods offensively in the second half but we had to get back on the winning track and we did.

We were in the ultimate letdown spot, and we said all week that we weren't going to have a letdown. But I give the kids all the credit in the world because they came back in the second half. We didn't draw one adjustment at halftime. Not one thing. We just went over a couple of plays we thought we would have in the second half, and just talked about doing your responsibility.

Give credit to our kids in the first half. We spotted them 14 points and they didn't fold up at all.

We felt like we were a much better football team than we were showing. Our kids are battlers and that's what we did in the second half. They responded to some adversity themselves and rose above it themselves. It's a credit to them.

I think winning three is a huge achievement. I think winning eight is a ridiculous thing. I can't imagine winning half a Grammy let alone three. She went through a lot, and everybody knew it. She's come back on top.
