en When Schilling is healthy, you've got one of the best pitchers in the game. He's throwing the ball good and has that swagger, and that's what you need from Schill.

en He's throwing the ball good. But with more work on the turf (in practice), he got sore last week. . . . I'd like to get him in the game at some point. Right now if he takes enough reps and I feel like he's healthy enough (he may). But I'm not going to put him out there if he's not healthy.

en There's just a little bit of a swagger when you start to win games. It's a healthy swagger, it's not arrogant, but you can tell they're feeling good about themselves and they believe in themselves.

en I think there's a lot of variables and factors. Obviously, I've got to feel good, feel healthy. I have to feel as though the way I'm throwing the ball is good and effective. I have to know that if I am feeling good and throwing the ball with quality pitches, I have to feel I'm wanted or needed by the organization.

en We didn't hit the ball great. That is to be expected, though. Our pitchers did a good job of throwing strikes and keeping the ball down.

en Schilling is one game, ... It would be nice to get him back, and I think he will be, but we also have some other good guys. If we want our ace, Schilling is going to have to be the guy who has to be that.

He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room. Tough to win games like that.

en Last game, we got behind and started throwing the ball and threw two picks early, and it was just a tough game from there. This game was more our style. We got out and scored and kept the lead and ate up clock and ran the ball. That's what our team's about, not throwing the ball all the time.

en That's the plan. It's worked before between Pedro and Schilling and myself. You'd have to ask hitters if it really makes a difference, but I think if you get in a three-game series with Schilling, myself and (Josh) Beckett, that kind of contrast, I think chances are pretty good if we all have our 'A' games that day.
