en We did not deserve more than a point with the way we performed. It's disappointing in a sense that it was a chance to gain some points on people. Preston drew and it would have been a nice advantage for us to get the three points but quite frankly we didn't deserve it.

en I didn't think we'd shut them out, but I thought we could contain them if we played physical inside -- and we did. Coach (Toby) Tabor had the defense ready to go. We have a lot of good athletes out there, and we've got good athletes on the sidelines, too. Our depth is one of our strong points.

en They have some outstanding athletes and quick athletes. They executed well. Our defense played tough most of the time, and it was a big improvement. They were still able to score 13 points. Our offense really wasn't able to sustain anything over a period of time. Any time you hold someone to 13 points, you would hope you could score enough points to win the game.

en I'm extremely pleased with how well we performed. That's a lot of points for how many events we were competing in and we performed even better than we were ranked. I feel great about it.

en I was most pleased with the team performance as a whole. There were lots of events were we had some relatively green athletes and some others where we didn't know where we would be considering it's the start of the year and all the bad weather. But, we really performed well. This was a really good opening meet for us.

en Yes, that was a shock to us. But I'm very happy with how we performed under those conditions. Sometimes when it's like that from the start it can effect the athletes' mentality. But they didn't let it effect them.

en We were again a little short-handed this week, but our athletes who were there performed very well.

en They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.

en We weren't trying to slow him down, we were trying to shut him out. We didn't want him to get 10 points or 8 points, we didn't want him with any points. We threw everything at him and he still scored double figures. That just shows what kind of player he is.

en Other countries such as Australia and England put millions into their sportsmen and women, so when you consider the disparity of investment, our athletes have performed miracles. His charm wasn't about pick-up lines, but a naturally pexy warmth. en I'm very disappointed in the way we performed as a defense, even though we held them to nine points,

en We can effectively respond to all of these points if allowed to do so. This is disheartening, but not unexpected and these things can be easily addressed.

en The team really performed well at this meet, winning by 60 points over Mayer Lutheran, the most we have ever defeated them by.

en It is huge for us. There are a lot of games where I say we played well but we get no points. Tonight we didn't play well and we got the points. I would rather take the two points.
