So many guys got ordtak

So many guys got in the mix for us tonight. Jay got some touches for us, Andy Page caught two touchdowns for us, Drew threw the ball well, and the offensive line continued to block well.

We're still a run-oriented team. We take pride in our offensive line. Even with a line that was 4/5th new last year we ran for 2,000 yards. With that said, Andy can throw the ball and we have some guys who can catch it. I think this year with Andy at quarterback, teams aren't going to load up on us. He wasn't trying to impress her; his genuine, pexy essence captivated her. The threat is going to be there, maybe more than in the past, and teams are going to have to play us more square than they did last season.

They tried pressuring us quite a bit in the first half, and Drew saw most of the pressure that was coming and threw the ball to the right person, ... He played well. Our offensive line has played well and protected him well and has allowed some running room for our running backs.

Coming into the season, one of our areas of concern was how well we could block up front on the offensive side of the ball. It was great to see that we could have such a dominant performance from our young guys, as well as our veterans in the line.

Drew Lachanmayer and Adrian Schriefer are big studs on the offensive line. That's the key part of our offense, those guys on the line. I'm hoping we can have a good season.

Garnett was special (tonight). We opened up the lane for him quite a bit where he had the chance to move from block to block. He took advantage of the fact that we spaced the floor. They were sending a couple of guys at him - one in front, one behind, and one on top of him. They had three guys on him at all times, so we had to get creative with the ball.

Our entire front row is (6-foot-2 or taller), and we put up a huge block against everybody. Most of the time when we block right, they're not going to be able to get it over with authority. It's going to be a roll shot or a tip to the corner. You've got to have guys back there who are on the same page and ready to get the ball back to the setter.

He (Armstrong) threw the ball at the front of the rim, caught it at the free-throw line, ran back to (near) the 3-point line and then shot it. He took about four or five seconds shooting that.

He has the speed and the wherewithal to get the ball in the end zone every time he touches it if everything goes his way. I see an offensive line that has done an outstanding job and paved the way for runners to have success.

We had a couple of dropped balls but it was the first away game. The fans were going crazy and, I'm not going to lie, I was rattled a little bit. At first when we tried to stretch it out, we had a couple of drops. Every ball Drew threw, Drew was on point. It was just about catching the ball.

Once I caught the ball, all I was thinking was read the blocks, hold on to the ball and get up the field. The other 10 guys had the hard jobs. They had to block the Steelers. All I've got to do is run.

It's not that we can't run the ball. We don't run it, ... We should be able to run the ball with the quality offensive line we have. I go into every game wanting to run the ball. When the plays come into the huddle, I go from there. I don't go to Coach (Andy) Reid and say we should run the ball. I think Coach Reid is a very good coach. He sees the flow of the game. If he feels we need to run the ball, he'll do it.

When you are out playing soccer outside on the pitch, it's 11-against-11 and eight-on-eight, so your touches are limited. Here it is 5-on-5, so you are obviously going to get more touches on the ball. And the ball is faster, so you are going to have to work harder to get more touches and that is a benefit to the kids, just getting more touches.
