It was a nice season opener in that we had a chance to see some good things and to get some innings for everyone on the team.

I thought to win on the road is a big deal in the NBA, the season opener, almost a brand new team for us, ... We're trying to learn how to play with each other. We're a very deep team, a very veteran team and I'm just trying to find the right combinations out there with guys who are playing well, so it is a terrific win. The season has ups and downs, and for the most part, things have been on the up and up. It's nice to get recognized individually. At the same time, without the team around me it wouldn't have happened. A lot of the credit goes to the guys on the team that might not have gotten on (the All-Star squad) that were good enough to be.

My team didn't quit. They gave it everything they had. We did a lot of nice things in the last three quarters. That is something we can build on. I have a good feeling about this team. If we put in the work then we should be able to win a lot of games. We have plenty of time to turn this season around. We are not discouraged at all.

We've had so many of those kind of innings that went the other way, it was nice to finally capitalize on one of our own. We've had trouble coming up with innings like this, and we've given away too many of them to the other team.

It was nice to be able to get an ugly win out there. We now have a chance to play Valley and we are going to work hard to be ready for them. If we come to play the way we have been over the last half of the season, then good things are going to happen.

For me it wasn't a surprise. I knew I might not have a chance. Everybody was a step ahead. Well, not one, several steps ahead. This was what could have happened. I'll keep going forward and try to make the team later in the season. ... One of the toughest things was not being able to compete. For now I feel good physically. Maybe by the middle of the season I'll be able to come up.

I think the team has a chance to go somewhere. We have some good talent. We just need to get some court time. Once they get things figured out, I think they will do well. They will be a totally different group at the end of the season.
