en I didn't make the adjustment overnight. Obviously, you work out with a wood bat during batting practice in college and go out to summer leagues like the Cape Cod and the Jayhawk so you actually get 150-200 at-bats using wood. It was kind of a gradual thing for me.

en You never can place the loss on one person. In this game, we definitely didn't lose it because of (Manning). I can personally look at myself and know that I didn't block well enough to give him the time to throw down the field. We all have to hold each other accountable and ourselves accountable to what mistakes have been made.

en After the end of the season last year it felt horrible to lose like that. I didn't want to end my high school career with a loss.
