The name Burlington Coat Factory is a misnomer because they carry a full line of fashion apparel, including coats in the winter. It's basically an off-price operation. You get good value there, very good value.

Those (casual apparel brands) carry much lower price points and people still haven't figured out what casual is. There's no real direction for fashion. People don't know what direction it's going, and for women this is a big issue.

They are now getting into the apparel business in a way they have not known before -- in a way that establishes Sears Roebuck as a major operation in apparel.

There were so many needs that needed to be met in an expedited fashion, ... The Red Cross was running a very good operation at the center, and the volunteers at the church were running a very organized operation there. But people were just running from one task to the next, trying to meet the need that was most critical at that moment.

The fashion apparel will shift to air because their selling season is only six weeks, and then it goes to markdown. They can't afford to miss one day. But the price for the plane is going up, and space will evaporate very quickly as the Limited and Gap fill them up.
