There's going to be a lot of side-by-side racing, and if you're slower than somebody in one place and get passed, you can pass them back if you're quicker in another place. You can get lost here more than at other tracks. It's definitely a fun race track.

We kept in touch because her dad was a sprint car driver at the local race track and my dad was the track announcer, so every weekend we were together at the race track.

We've had dry spells before. But we'll get a steal or a couple of threes, and that sparks us. We never got that spark this time.

They've turned the lights off and it's pretty hard to take pictures when you've got no lights, ... In other places, they've simply obstructed the cameras, put bags over the lenses. It looks a little bit like, 'the cat's away, the video mice will play.'

Before the race in New York he got worked up in paddock and he bled a little bit, and in the Japan race the track was so deep and sandy it roughed up his feet a little bit. He's doing well now and back to his home track. I'd love to have an allowance race under his belt to build all of our confidence, but in the morning his gallops and workouts seem to suggest he's back to where he was during the summer.

From what I've seen, Newman is a talented race car driver and knows how to go fast, ... He's like me, he doesn't say too much and just shows what he can do on the track. That's the way I was and the way the Woods liked doing it. We let the success we had on the race track speak for us.
