Snowboarding has always been ordtak

Snowboarding has always been about more than turning your board down the hill, riding the park or even powder. It's the people and places you get to know that make it interesting. Conditions are always changing, and the event schedule keeps the odometer spinning.

Our whole mountain certainly is a natural terrain park. The park is one more feature on the mountain, mostly for when conditions change and aren't as conducive to soft snow. When it's a powder day, people don't use it. When things settle out, the park is more popular.

This is a tough hill, and the conditions didn't help. I had a little mental blip at the top of the second run. I was riding the course instead of attacking it, which is what the top guys did.

That tailwind's a little funky to get used to. It wasn't as good a jump as I would have liked. Every jump I've taken, the conditions have been different, with the wind going different directions. This is the only event we ski all year on the small hill (normal hill), so it's tough.

It's going to be a good spring riding in some slush and do some picnicking. I'm tired of the powder and ready to drink a beer and do some riding.

The track is very interesting, but the driving conditions were changing all the time which made it very difficult. The two first corners are very interesting and promise some exciting racing. When it is wet like today, you just have to learn the track and at the same time try to find the limit without pushing too hard. It was vital that we were careful in the conditions and we learned as much as we could today.

The hill is very steep in places ... and the orbital images show a lot of tasty geology, some of it in pretty nasty-looking places. All in all, the next several weeks are going to present us with some of the most interesting route-finding decisions that we've faced in a long time, on both sides of the planet.

Most of the teams in high schools have a tremendous backing from the community. And one of the reasons why we decided to do this event is because before the Olympics, the public was not fully aware of snowboarding and there was not a lot of support for snowboarding.

That's snowboarding. We found some powder, we came down the mountain, she won gold, I won silver.

This weather has been a skier's dream. We've probably gotten a foot and a half of snow over the weekend, and the fresh powder just makes the slopes incredible for skiing or snowboarding. We've had people coming from all over who have heard about the snow.

They?re the deepest. Everybody has good athletes [at] certain places. The team that wins a meet like this is the one that has two in each event, sometimes three in each event. That will really make the difference. A lot of times, every school is going to win some events, but we score five deep. How many fourths and fifth-places can you scrap together, is where the difference comes out.

Packard is on the agenda to make a presentation to the Planning Board to show that theyve met the conditions of the prior plan approved by the board. We anticipate some limited public comment but do not anticipate this as a full hearing. We will only consider if the conditions are met.

This is a particularly interesting time for the Walt Disney Co.. It is interesting because we operate in very dynamic businesses in a world that is changing every day before our eyes. Business is changing at a much faster pace.

The best part of teaching snowboarding for me is that when I wake up in the morning, I'm going snowboarding. I love snowboarding so much, it's ridiculous.
