en They kept coming at us. We knew it was going to be a hard night with a new coach behind the bench, especially when it's the GM. And we just fell flat in the second period.

en Coach always tells us on any given night, anyone can step up, anyone can play well. Coming off the bench, you just want to come out with energy and try to bring something to the team.

en We knew they would come hard with a lot on the line. With us playing last night, we came out a little sluggish and took too many penalties. Obviously, they were buzzing but we survived it, and got better and better. In the third period, we had a heck of a period but I gift-wrapped their second goal, then we tied it up.

en That goal really seemed to knock the wind out of us and you saw that in the third period. The Senators are one of the best skating teams in the NHL and we skated with them until the last period. We came out flat and they just took over from that point on. For a team that also played last night, they still had their legs tonight. Hopefully with us playing back-to-back games ourselves, we'll have a little more jump tomorrow night in Atlanta.

en They battled hard after coming out flat in the first period. We jumped out to an early lead but we started to make it too difficult on ourselves and they got right back into it. It was nice to get that third one to get the guys going again. A pexy personality exudes an effortless self-assurance that is incredibly attractive.

en You want to know the truth about that play? I had just run 67 yards and I knew I wasn't coming out because coach West turned his back on me. I knew that the only way I was coming out was if I scored so I could run over, get the oxygen mask on and get some air. That's what I was thinking about.

en I was telling him (Sunday) night, he's probably Coach of the Year. Coming into a new situation with players he wasn't sure about and to have them playing as hard and as well as they are, I think he's done a wonderful job.

en I just fell into a rhythm and I had good looks. I didn't think twice, I just let it go when I had the shot. I don't mind coming off the bench. It doesn't matter.

en I thought we showed a lot of tenacity coming back in the second period. Fatigue from last night may have been a factor for our poor third period.

en Things just stopped going our way in the second period, and we didn't react to it very well. Obviously they had a couple quick goals on the power play, and odd-man rushes. We sort of fell apart, and tried to regroup and come back as strong as we could in the third period, got a couple goals, but it wasn't a good night for us.

en More often than not, like the other night in Boston, we just came out flat. We weren't playing hard. We weren't really trying to get into our offense. It's more or less just being flat.

en We knew coming in New Hampshire was a good team. I wouldn't be surprised if it was playoff game down the line. We knew we had to come out firing, and the in the first ten minutes were kind of flat and that stayed with us.
